I have seen a new Outback with SatNav but it had an SD card instead of a DVD map???

I hope V19 C2 is a DVD map :D

And does anyone know how to get things like this to show or run on the GPS system (mine is also a 2011 Liberty GT - with McIntosh "supposedly Premium" sound system/GPS)??

Actual Speed (given the Subie speedos are always showing much slower than actual speed)
Fixed Red Light Cameras
Fixed Speed Cameras

Would be good to show these damn things as well - Thanks...

I am curious to know what the difference is between purchasing map updates from whereis for $295 vs purchasing from navigationau for $25 - $100.
Anybody know why the price difference is so much?
$295 = http://www.whereismaps.com/buy-map-upda ... viceid=385
$25 - $100 = http://www.navigationau.com/subaru-navi ... disks.html

EDIT... After searching google for 10 minutes:
OK, I just found out why so cheap, The disks are just burnt copies.
Nice way to make a $98 profit! Step 1: DL ISO from torrents - - - Step 2: Burn ISO and print on blank inkjet printable DVD ($1.40) - - - Step 3: Post to customer ($0.60)

If you cannot DL / burn the disk yourself or are having troubles, I'm sure somebody on these forums could burn you a disk and post it out to you for under $10

I have the old disk from my navigation system, out of GEN V Premium Pack Macintosh unit. It Version 18, C2 Version 6.0 from WhereiS maps.

If anyone wants it, let me know and I can mail it out.

I Note the V20 2014 discs are $200 each - what a croc of money grabbing BS! Might try the D/L Torrent and so on for myself at home... These should just be included by Subaru during the Warranty period as a minimum, or for the life of the Original Ownership.... In my opinion anyway!!

Hi guys, I am new here ...I have just got my first Subaru Liberty 2006 Spec B. I only bought it on the weekend and it did not come with a sat nav DVD (missing).
I have followed all the threads here and burned so many copies but nothing worked. I have tried normal DVD and DL DVD they all complete ok but they do not work . The error is "Insert correct disk".
I have been using imgburn and also tried nero . Am I missing something ?
I assume that my car would need C1, the sat nav is in the glove box(I tried C2 as well) don't know what to try next. I don't want to buy a new DVD because I'm not even sure the player works.

Are you still looking for a solution for your Satnav problem? I saw 'never mind I got it' after your post but I realised it was someone else.

The problem is probably that your original Software disc has gone. Once the battery is disconnected, you need the original DVD, because it contains all the software to make the Satnav menus etc work. Then you can put an aftermarket (or updated) disc in, which just has the maps. If you want I can check if mine is also a C1 and make you a copy. After that you can use a downloaded disc. But I also scratched me head as to why my downloaded disc didn't work. But I still have the original one to save me.

Probably keep it if you still have that car, it may contain the Nav software, required after reconnecting the battery neg.
