I'd be in for a group buy like that! :D

OK guys, I contacted Japanparts.com and with an offer of $100 each for 30-40 of the centre panel and bracket set (part no:107-203-002), mentioning that it was for the Australian Liberty Owners Club.
The response was they would NOT do that, but can do 10-15% off.

http://www.japanparts.com/db/parts_deta ... ARCH_page=

Current price is $239.37. Minus 15% = $201.76

Assuming shipping is about $200-$250 for 30 units (and based on 3 deliveries - eg. 10 to Vic, 10 to NSW, 10 to QLD) that should come in around $210 delivered.

Best price i've seen on a Nexus 7 tablet is about $250 delivered for 16GB wifi version, although I could probably get the 32GB 3g version for $299 for those in Melbourne.

So still looking at a minimum of $600 once you add wiring & power supply, even if we can get the group buy.

Is that 10-15% off contingent on us getting 30 buyers?

I presume so, yes. I made some further enquiries.

They will do for $200 even if we purchase 30+ units

As for postage:

10 units delivered to Melbourne = $163.50 ($216.35 incl shipping)
10 units delivered to Sydney = $163.50
5 units to Brisbane = $95.81 ($219.16 incl shipping)
5 units to Perth = $95.81

Better than $270 shipped I guess, but still not cheap, and not sure about chances of getting 30ppl. Plus this would require the units to go to one address per state and for someone to manage distribution and $

Thinking it might not be worth the effort...?

I would like to publicly apologies to Statts, I've been putting him through hell and back asking him dumb questions about my Nexus power setup and the dramas for a non technical minded person.

The good news is I'm getting there and have purchased Sttats Nexus 7 off him

Thanks again Statts your a legend mate

I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...
