yeh all the controls work exactly the same as if you had a cd in there. my only issue is it dosent recognise my playlists for some reason. it is ment to pick up 5 playlists i think.
but its not that bad tho, you just hit the random button and off you go

What's the difference between this and the Subaru equivelant from the dealer?

Just curious as I was quoted 250 from alberts for the ea1251.

All I really want is AUX to charge and play an Ipod. What would be better if it was a USB connection that could have really any mp3 player hooked up and charged!

Anyone know of anything like that?

i didnt think there was an option from the dealer.

250 seems quite alot for the unit aswell.

from the uk it was around 150 to my door.

I don't know about an "Ipod" connection from dealer, but i'm fairly sure they install a 3.5mm plug into the aux connection. I was quoted when I bought the car at like $500.. was insane.

I saw some people posted about the Subaru cable being about 120? from the dealer. Not exactly too sure if that's the 3.5mm audio jack or the Ipod connection though.

I was looking at the EA1251 on the Clarion web site and came across this: http://www.clarion.com/au/en/products/2010/multimedia/accessory/CCA_iPod/au-en-product-pf_1259413623061.html.

Has anyone tried it?

Yep. I bought one. It was faulty. I'm still chasing up Autobarn and Clarion.
