Skipping McIntosh

Postby kaycy » Wed Jun 10, 2009 9:48 pm

I had a "new" Mac head unit put on my car two weeks ago or so after the previous one swallowed my cds and would not eject them.

Now, this one skips when I go over even small road bumps and my car is a spec b liberty. Has anyone had any such skipping? I was told that the HU was "new" but I wonder if it could be due to something loose when the unit was fitted.

It sounds like that's why that one was returned. It takes a very solid thump to make mine skip.

I believe that's true Ric, I have been through big humps and pot holes with a cd playing in the "old" one but there was no skipping. I will be contacting them.

I wonder why they swap them instead or repairing and returning back, I hate going back and forth to get the same thing fixed over and over again.
