AV Panel Set ordered! *Crosses fingers*

Stereos, amps, phone kits, Navi...

It's worth keeping an eye on there, it may take you a month or 2 to have one come up that perfectly fits your needs.

I've been chasing a set of 3 way component speakers for the front stage of Lib GT-B and it's taken about 4 months for the right set to come up in the right condition at the right price and in the right location. As is the case with 2nd hand, it's a game of patience if you're after just the right set.

Yep, if you're after something particular, patience is THE key.

I recall many years ago, I waited and waited for a particular Eclipse power amp to be available and at the right price, the waiting paid off in the end as I saved myself almost 50% from rrp.

Yup. I'll def keep an eye on that place. I think I've just settled on this:

http://www.alpine.com.au/products/produ ... odelID=409

Just need to try and find it at a good price. It's $349 RRP, so I'm sure I can find it for under 300 bones :D

Expect to pay ~50c per $1 2nd hand on that forum. There's no reason you shouldn't get a $5-600 for $300. ;-) Esp in the current climate.

Well I just checked the tracking number on my parcel.... apparently the addressee could not be confirmed in the Melbourne depot (even though I've double checked the address is correct) and they're sending it back to Japan!! Wtf?!?!! Has anyone else had this happen before?!?! I've contacted Aus Post and they said they'll investigate it and get back to me in 3-4 business days!! WTF!!!

Gee, sorry to hear that Avon ! I've ordered almost a dozen times from Japanparts and have not experienced anything like that.

Well, some good news! The AV panel is sitting at home as we speak! Maybe they just couldn't understand the address or something. I'll get some photos of the unboxing when I get home.

P.S: What's your opinion on Boston speakers? I'm thinking about going for those instead of Alpine Type S

Speakers really come down to your budget.

Boston do some great speakers, as do Alpine.

Probably worth starting a separate thread in the Audio section about 'what speakers for my front/rear/??? and then give budget, install skills/value, etc. It's a big thread. ;)
