MY06 Aux In?

Hey gang, first post, very close to buying an MY06 2.5 in Melb, and I'm wondering about the whole Aux In thing.

First things first, the 06 seems to have two different consoles and head units when I look on carsales.com.au (the cars I'm looking at have the metallic console -- is that the Mcintosh?).

I've seen plenty of posts about the 04 and 05, but nothing about the 06, so I'm just checking I've got my facts right:

From what I've read here and elsewhere, there *was* a Clarion part that could connect and control and iPod, but considering how limited those things were with the 6 playlists, I'd be happy with just an audio line in near the cigarette lighter in the center console.

I've also read that there's a $140 part that can be fitted to the MY07, so I guess I'm just checking if that's an option for the 06, or only 07 onwards.

None of the cars I've been looking at have the sat nav, for what it's worth.

Can an 07 HU be fitted?

Can anyone recommend an install company or audio nerd in Melbourne to help me out?

The Subaru aux-in option is only present in MY07 and later.

I don't have aux-in at present.
My car has a McIntosh, and I suspect something can be rigged up via the big plug used for the navigation connection, but don't know of anyone who has done it yet.
