Aux input for MY06 Liberty

I'm brand new here so if someone can redirect me to an existing thread on this topic then please do. I know there's "The USB/Aux-in/ipod compatibility superthread" http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=16196 but I can't seem to find anything on there.

Pretty much ever since I got my car I've been trying to find a way to play music off my phone. I bought an FM transmitter just to get by but it is utter garbage. These past few days I've been looking at other solutions such as FM modulators and those systems that play through CD input eg. Anycar Link. I don't really have the money for a fascia kit ($250+) and decent head unit, and I will probably be selling the car in the next 6 months so there's no point for anything too fancy. The FM modulator would be a good option but I'm not great at working with electrics and soldering etc. On the other hand, the Anycar link apparently doesn't work with my stereo (I don't have the McIntosh system, I have the integrated aircon one). I found a system that apparently works with my stereo, the GROM IPD3 kit, which is similar to the Anycar Link kit: http://www.cushieaudio.com.au/subaru-ipd3.html

This stereo is pretty similar to the one in my car, but mine isn't a 6CD changer and doesn't have a tape deck:

I'm just wondering if I should get the GROM IPD3 kit. I don't want to buy it only to find out it's not compatible with my car.
Can someone give me some advice on whether this is the right thing to get or if there are other options out there?

Cheers

That's the correct kit for your car, and having installed one myself, it works really well. I have the Bluetooth attachment as well which works without any issues.
