Radio install

are you playing music of any sort ie cassette or whatever it uses? static is usually due to a bad connection some where so double check everything. You will need a multimeter at some point so dont put it off

yeah thats kind of taken for granted haha 12v is a standard car battery and red is for go black is for home.

Id be surprised if someone was stupid enough to damage the receiver.. but im constantly amazed by the stupidity of people so.. haha

I was reading this appears this might be my problem as unit says 15ohm and I'm hooking up a 4 0hm speaker ...

Thoughts ?

You can always go up but never down from any amplifier's rated minimum speaker impedance.

Sounds like that could be your problem!
