Focus Err..

Purchased my Liberty second-hand from a reputable dealer. Paid extra for electronics warranty.

Within a year of purchase the head unit constantly had 'Focus Err'. The dealership said it wasn't covered under warranty and quoted $600 to have it fixed. Now I'm out of warranty and looking at getting it fixed.

Pretty common problem, what do I do? Should I be looking to purchase a head unit from someone upgrading (and risk having it suffer the same fate) or is their a better fix?

Ditch the cds and get an aux input of some sort, using the same HU.
