I'm thinking of getting the Pure Highway 300di DAB radio and using the line in connection on the receiver for tablet/phone connection. Shame this doesn't have / can't connect to Bluetooth - it would probably be the complete car solution for most ppl - although there are a number of USB-powered Bluetooth devices with 3.5mm stereo out which should work with this.
Originally around $500RRP, now can be bought for about $200 new.
Downsides are (an ugly) external aerial and it says a professional installation is required, although I think the only challenge might be accessing the ignition for power.
Apparently Alpine rebranded the same thing with the "Alpine Ezi-DAB" and removed/recessed the aerial, but it's about twice the price; doesn't seem to be stocked in Australia; and I wonder whether the aerial reduction limits reception...?
Wondering if anyone has thoughts / experience with either product?
