Another tablet install - with no power button trick!

I'm in the process of installing an older galaxy tab GTP1000 in my liberty.

My first problem was I didn't want to move the tablet power button, so I wanted the tablet to power on as soon as the car is turned on.

I finally found a solution, this allows me to turn On and Off the tablet without any power button needed, and I'm not talking about putting it to sleep.

The steps were as follows.
Root tablet.
Install NoMoarPowah! (free app from play store)
Install file manager app (free from play store)

Use file manager to find the following file
/system/bin/playlpm

and edit that file with the following content:
#!/system/bin/sh
/system/bin/reboot

Then save.

After that, you can power down the tablet using NoMoarPowah! (power off is available in the app).
And the next time the tablet gets power it just turns staight on.

Right now I'm looking at free alternatives to tasker.
Automateit is a free app, I have it set to launch torque at boot.

I will upload pics once I have the tablet mounted, bought a spare cubby + surround for $40 locally almost new.

Check out Llama for automation.

I use it on my S3 all the time, mainly for phone tower profile changes and silent charging modes etc.
Not as epic as tasker, but does 'most' things.

All I use is tasker.
when power is connected it wakes up (no lock screen) and keeps the screen on.
when power is disconnected, screen turns off and sleeps after 30 seconds. easy.
