Question about Clarion ipod interface

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone with a Clarion ipod interface and the McIntosh stereo can answer a question for me.

I've read somewhere that if you have the ipod docked and turn the car off, that on restart, it will pickup from where it left off. Is this right?

Also....

If the car is driven, turned off, and the ipod is then detached and used, if it's docked before the car starts again, does it start playing from where it left off?

Reason I ask is, I just bought an ipod for listening to at work, however if I can use it in the car then it would be good too. However, I don't want to undock it only to find out it will play from the start again, that would be crap.

If you turn off car, it will resume from where you left off, but sometimes it doesn't, I think if the iPod battery goes flat.

If you disconnect, it will start from teh beginning
