Double Din replacement for McIntosh 2004 3.0R

I have recently bought a 2004 3.0R and want to install my double din pioneer unit in it. i know i need the dash fascia and where to get it and all that, i just need to know if this guide is still relevant to the single zone climate control model and also to the mcintosh system. i am installing an aftermarket sub so i am not too worried about the 8" working, just need to know if theres anything i need to take into consideration when installing the unit, or if someone knows if a better guide suited to my car
