I'd be interested to find out the specs of this build too.
I wouldn't mind beefing up the stock system just a tad.

There is some lovely gear in there:

Crescendo OPUS 8 2Way - approx $700
Crescendo ETUDE 3.12 Subwoofer - approx $600 from memory
AUDISON Bit-One.1 Processor - approx $1,400
AUDISON LRx5.1k Amplifier - probably about $2,000
Custom A-Pillars & Enclosure - $???
Custom Bit-One.1 DRC Panel - $???
Sound Deadening Treatment - probably a bulk pack, maybe 2 = $300
Apparently 60 hours labour at say $60p/h = $3,600

A great sounding and looking install, veeeeerrrrrrry jealous of whoever it is.

Wow that's expensive! And extensive! I would like to hear a system like that and evaluate for myself whether that 3-4k is justified??

Wouldn't the tweeters be in the way of the airbag?

Not sure if there are airbags in the A - Pillars on the 2.5i but if there are, I'm sure a lot of thought would have gone in to making sure the tweeters won't foul them and be detrimental to the way they work. I would think that the pillar trim would peel forward, towards the windscreen, if the airbags were activated. In any case FCA would make sure that they wouldn't get in the way, they are a well renowned installer in Aus.

The price tag is more than justified if you use the car as a daily driver and love your music. Having owned, worked on and listened to some very extensive SQ based systems, there is almost nothing that makes driving more enjoyable.

I agree. personally, I prefer a stock looking stereo than flashy fibreglass work. My tastes have changed over the years somewhat though. 10 years ago, my response would have been a lot different.

i think my system would be getting up around or even more then that sought of price nowdays

Front Stage - Focal K2 165KRX2 $1099
Rear Stage - Focal K2 165KRC $599 (paid no where near that for these or i would still have stock rears)
Subs- 2X Focal K2 33KX $1029
Speaker Amp Focal FPS 4.160 $799 (got the older model of this cheeper)
Sub Amp 2 x Focal SOLID 1 $499 (bit over board with 2 amps to run the subs but were at a run out price and are racey red
Headunit Alpine IVA- W502E $2290 (ncluding bluetooth, nav and Imprint Sound Processor)

grand total of $7144

but i think all up i have spent closer to $5000 by buying a number of items at once and being a pretty loyal customer to my local car sound shop and saved alot of money on instal by doing everything apart from front stage instal and imprint tuning.
