How to pair a bluetooth phone with 2005 bmw x5? My bluetooth phone cannot find my X5. Do I need to do anything on my X5 for my phone to find it?

Take the X5 off road, your phone is looking for a 4WD but all it's seeing is a suburban car.

Take it easy guys, Chafila, I deal with this problem the other day when our work fleet got 3 new Camrys (real Camrys, not MY10s)

The conversation went like this:

Gary: 'Sean, how do you pair the phone to the car?'

Sean: 'Read the book'

OK, that was cold.

Dude, put the phone into search mode.

Not knowing what phone you have makes things exceedingly difficult but usually it is a rather intuitive process, go into the phone, settings, bluetooth is usually under connectivity of some such, once you are in the bluetooth bit, you can usually select something that says 'New Devices' or 'Search for New devices'

At some point a passcode comes up, on the car I think and you need to enter that number into the phone.

Then usually the next question it asks is something along the lines of 'Automatically Accept Connections from this Device?' and well, you choose your own adventure here.

That's about it.

That is correct, not all bluetooth phones will work with factory bluetooth in cars and same goes even with after market HU's.

I'm still trying to figure out how a BMW owner found their way onto a Subaru forum.

Shall I dare quote Jeremy Clarkson in that BMW owners are C*cks, I better not seeing my next car is a going to be a Beemer
