For those who did the screen up top (looking at you pips06) what part number was required, and did you need to modify it to fit? It seems there are two part numbers, H0017AG915 and H0017AG932.

Hi Tangcla see the CarPC post Tehx provides the part number that we used in the mounting of our screens. He used the Lilliput 1 and I used the LinITX 1

Thanks for that link Mong. Is the Lilliput a standard 2DIN unit, or is it larger?

I used the LinITX 1 which is similar in dimensions and it is close to a standard 2 DIN but I think it is slighlty larger and so is the Lilliput so it is a tight squeeze but the results are great.

There's a different one, for the dual zone climate control.

* Remove the Mcintosh headunit and place my headunit there:
* Keep the Mcintosh in the centre console, and add the headunit between the aircon vents (a la factory satnav)

If anyone has photos of their installs, please do share, photos would really help my decisionmaking.
In particular, if you've used the upper double DIN mounts, how does that affect glare?

Clarence,

can you pls help me out here. I am looking at:
http://www.jbhifi.com.au/car-sound-gps- ... sku-98836/

I understand i need to get the fascia from avoJDM online $350 + $250 jbhifi installation fee.

OK what my question is that if you keep the Original headunit in the centre console, and add the aftermarket double-DIN between the aircon vents (cubby area), how much does it cost????? (I don't think Jbhifi can install it like that, i may need to show them pips06 photo)

and Im interested to know what you ended up doing...Did you do it like pips06 (neat install) or removed your original unit n put it there.....

Few people in different threads have said it is costly$$$ with no approximate figure and from where can you get it done?? (wud be nice to install it at eye level, if not, the other alternative isn't bad either - just need to look down a bit)

Your help would be much appreciated, as I am getting 40%off on JVC..thnx to xmas period!

btw your threads are quite useful, i m new here and might be asking for more modification ideas to u experts :) Thanks
singh

JB won't be able to do the fabrication of your cubby area. You'll have to go to a specialist car audio shop for that. You might find it could cost more than the fascia kit from AVOJDM etc.
