MY08 2.5i Sat Nav, Bluetooth, DVD lockout

hey guys, i have jus bought a my08 liberty which has the satnav package, bluetooth hands free and dvd player. and i have read many threads on this. but all the units seem to be of different years that ppl do write ups on. so i have pulled the sat nav unit out an lookd at the back.. theres a connecter there n a small single one aswell. is there a way to enable the satnav entering locations and the use of the bluetooth touch screen while driving. the dvd is a bonus if that works too haha.. but i want to be able to use the gps n not have to pull over so the passenger can enter the location... or pull over to be able to hit the answer button on the bluetooth... stupid

there IS a way.... i think i have the same model as you with the bluetooth and dvd..... search and you shall find.... www.legacygt.com

i think there's a few threads floating around here but it's saturday morning/arvo and i cannot find it nor do i have the patience to look for it right now lol

this is quite interesting .... i don't think u have to be stopped to answer the phone via the answer button on the screen.... i didn't on mine anyhow

actually i stand corected... you cant make a call.... but u can answer when driving.. i have seen legacy gt and thers things on there.. but nothing related to this model.. as the module under the seat looks different to the one that has a walkthrough guide.. its an my07.. i kno that if u pull the hand brake up while driving .. just enough to make the light come on the dash... then the bluetooth is unlocked and the sat nav is unlocked... and the dvd is unlocked...

but i dont want to perminantly short the hand brake and have the light on the dash.. i jus want to ground it going into the head unit or whereveer it needs to be hahaha

Just ground the handbrake wire that goes to the head unit? You may need a diode to prevent it flowing back to the other electronics and causing handbrake light to stay on.

anyone have a schematic of the headunit wiring... cause im not sure if the wire goes to the headunit, the nav controll box under the seat, or the touch panel?

might be bringing up a old thread but i did this mod yesterday, did it so i can use the inputs adresse and stuff but the handbrake light is always on, any ideas how to turn it off XD ?
