2010 GT Liberty backside

Hey guys, new to the forum (but not subbies).

On Thursday 12th I took delivery of my new 2010 GT Liberty.

I love everything about it except the backside.
It's is a mix of Camry, Euro and Lexus. I hate it.

I can black out the Grill and get rid of the Camry, Cruze, Euro look but its the back end that just looks foul.
What were they thinking???
Am i alone in this or did Subaru hire the Toyota designers?

So I am thinking a spoiler / badges / panel work. Something!!!
I have had a bit of a Google but cant seem to find anyone who is doing Spoilers for the 10 GT.
I cant see any value in the factory option. Does anyone know of a good source for these kind of bits?

Looking forward to getting into this forum

I think majority of the people on this forum hate the gen5's exterior styling :( But welcome. Post some pics up when you can

Anyway have a check here as these guys said they were trying to get some stuff for the new Liberty's...

Had a MY10 Liberty 2.5i loan car while my car was being serviced. People were in shock that I converted to a Camry/Aurion/Holden because that's what it looked like from the back. :?

That's why I got a wagon lol

But seriously, try ultrex (in the for sale section). They had a rear spolier ready to go.

I got the boot lip spoiler to help break the lines a bit... but it is a very non-descript butt.. :)

Congrats on the the car!

And Fuji Heavy Industries is part owned by Toyota, 16.5%, and they are in a partnership. The Nav, trim and general looks are a bit of a givaway :).

Ahh, no wonder! I was thinking the interior of the MY10 Liberty loan car I drove had a very Toyota-esque feel to it because the beeps, chimes, and power window buttons are the exact layout as our Toyota Aurion.

Lol possibly a hyundai about 5 years old....

the new i45 is replacing the sonata (which im assuming you're referring to similarly styled. Those i45's are sex... once they release the 2nd Gen that sorts out the steering feel issues i would gladly buy one over the new liberty's.

Although i am going to wait for the new Toyobaru concept to hopefully become reality.. FT-86 now that thing is HOT!!

Welcome!

The exterior can be fixed with the various bodykits coming out now. Also wheels and suspension. The biggest problem for me personally is I hate the interior and there is nothing much that can be done about that (can't change seats, and short of remodelling the whole dashboard and centre console....). Worst of all the interior is what the owner is looking at most of the time!

Thanks guys, great feedback. I will follow up on the suggestions.

I'm glad I'm not alone and I suppose it is the way things are going these days.
I have always enjoyed the Individuality of Subaru and am disappointed by this common look, until I hit boost  Nothing common about that!!!

Good feedback from members is always a sign of a healthy forum, I hope I can add some value.

Thanks again.

Very nice, is this the Factory Body kit and spoiler?
The exhaust surrounds look great.
