Eyeline/Eyelids

Postby Laps » Wed May 19, 2010 1:46 pm

Hello alll,

I just got rims installed (pics coming) and am about 2 seconds away from ordering a fibreglass grill/front lip from ultrex which will be painted black...

My question is, do you guys reckon I should get eyelids. Phat can organise a set of K2's for me, however, Im not sure if I should even bother on a 2.5i NA.. Do you guys reckons it will look any good, just after some opinions. Thats all :)

My opionion is that they will likely look very nice with the grill and lip combo. No bother about whther it's a GT or an NA.

It's up to you at the end of the day mate... But eye lids (The correct design of course) do make the front end look more aggressive. Since you're already getting a grill & front lip - which I'm guessing is to make the car look more aggressive & therefore better - the choice is easy IMHO :D

Don't mod your car, just save up for a GT in a few years……. Problem solved.

Eyelids? IMO they are a terrible waste of coin. Useless! You should think about investing your hard earned money in .... hahahahaha! Of course get it! My advice is when you can't make your car go fast, make it prettier! Or in Noozal's case, louder!

off topic, when I buy a front lip, should I have it painted to match the rest of the car, or just leave it matte?

Now you're boiling it down to personal preference. Some people like to blend it in with the front bumper for a more integrated appearance. However it will be prone to chips and scratches.

On the other hand, the majority like to break up the 'glossy-ness' by matching the matt black with the foglight surrounds and give it more distinction by separating it from the bumper.

matte black is my preference... as arith says.. it really breaks up the car a bit colourwise.

Eye lids... sure why not.

I need to find more $$ to make my car prettier!
