Does it just unscrew like a manual one?

i just dont want to get stuck into it to find out i rooted it cause theres some trick to getting it off...

i did a search but could only find info on a gen 3.. so apologies if i missed anything.

Yup. Just twist until it eventually comes off. If you replace it with a Subaru auto one, it's just screwing it back on too.
