Rocker Panel / Sill Query

Postby Sentinel » Sun Apr 26, 2009 2:24 pm

Arvo chaps,

Looking for some help. I'm investigating some strakes / spats for my 07 wagon. Suppliers I talk to in Japan keep saying that the Liberty may differ from the Legacy with respect to the rocker panel / sill and rear lower section of the bumper - see pic below for area's I'm talking about:

Ignore how dirty the car is!!

Three things:

1. MY07 (March onward) is a 'D' car correct?
2. Is there any differences between D to E to F cars?
3. Does the Legacy differ to Liberty in these two area's??

I don't wanna buy some parts only to find that they wont fit! Especially with the currency the way it is!

Thanks for any info.

Cheers

I'm completely new to Subaru's so this may be no help to you but I stumbled across the above link this morning looking for STI sill plates. Click on the picture of the car and it tells you hat parts are cross compatible etc.

May be useless but to my naive car mind it seems as if it could help lol.

1. Yes, MY07=D, MY08=E, MY09=F
2. Not in terms of the body structure, no.
3. If it's the JDM Legacy vs the AUD Liberty, it should be ok. But the USDM Legacy sport different front and rear bumpers due to stricter requirements.

Thanks Jim and ModernM.

I might try to check some photo's on the Legacy forums too.

Appreciate your help.
