WTF!!! tell them to go JUMP.

The front bar DOES NOT need to removed for this simple installation.

I'm sure a forum member somewhere close to you can show you how to do this.. plus a beer or two of course.

I got mine from a member here on these forums. So since it was used I managed to get it for $250 - $300.

Are you lookin' to get one?

yeh that's not a bad price, considering new is over $400.

...been looking at the zero/sports and corazon grilles also, but they seem a little pricey considering the value of our dollar at the moment and postage from OS :(

And another update on the cost in 2014 - the grille (same part number 91121AG171) is now just over $550 retail or $429.01 at trade price (including GST). I did not have to quote a VIN.

Scored the latter price from Sydney City Subaru. Talk to Gary in the parts dept on 02 8755 2040 - friendly bloke. In my case, they had a brand new grille boxed that had been sitting on their shelf for nearly a year - grabbed it at lunchtime. 8)

New badge was $100 so I'll be re-using my existing one. I'm also repainting the chrome part black to look more like the S402 part.
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...

Anybody know if Subaru ever made the same Honeycomb Grille for the PREfaceleft models?
I'm looking at buying one on a website, but it doesn't have any parts number listed on it. From the pictures, it looks identical to HyRax's one, but I just want to make sure. Are preface and postface grilles interchangeable anyway?

I don't think they did as the S402 is part of the facelift generation. I know that some people on the Legacy forums have made their own, and even our own Master Builder cruisn has made his own previously.

Sadly not - the facelift grille is taller than the pre-facelift grille.

Sorry, I meant that I have a facelift MY07, and I had ordered a honeycomb grille. I was just worried if the one I ordered was a prefacelift one.

Cheers.

As long as the part number matches the one in the pic I posted, you're good.
