Hey everyone, just bought a 2002 Subaru liberty Rx 3rd Gen so I'm new to the forum.

I don't have the budget to afford a catback so I figured i'd just get a new muffler. Not planning to do any engine modifications or whatever as its just a n/a 2.5l ej25, but would like the car to feel a bit more unique and different from the rest of the crowd.

Ive got these two in mind, any advice?

Cheers in advance!!

Drill holes in your muffler, spend remainder of money on maintenance.

Both those links are US (aren't they?), so add another $100+ for shipping then possibly another 10% if they hit you with the low volume import bullshit.
Just got to a local exhaust shop, tell him you want a mild sports muffler and whatever tip you pick on it.

Why not get something like the https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/liverpo ... 1205636242 and get a muffler shop to fit it with a 3"-2", or whatever size libs have, adaptor. That seems a LOT of money to spend for no difference in performance and not much different in noise.. If you want it to sound "different" get rid of the resonator for the air filter intake.. It's lives inside the drivers side front guard behind the plastic.. Not sure about non turbo boxers but on a rex it makes a difference in both power and sounds and is the first "free" mod that people often do. Money better spent as per previous post..No point in spending money on non turbo for performance but you can do a lot to enhance handling.. eg.. bigger sway bars.. and better brake pads ..
