Just to tack on without creating a new thread, does this mean preface and post face share the same bootlid fitment, as in, can I get a post face bootlid from wreckers and chuck it on my preface?

Just to clarify, when you say later 2.5 NA engines, do you mean all post face lift 2.5i engines? I'm looking to swap a 2009 AVLS engine into a 2006 (MY07) post face.
I'm hoping all the post face 2.5i engines are the same, or at least compatible. Any info is appreciated.

So was there another facelift in 2010 that is called the post-post facelift and if so now in 2022 is the 04-06 now called the pre-pre-pre-pre facelift.. or is this just and old term that was only for one change that happened in 2007... I have never quite understood this either..
My son gave his Hyundai a "post" face lift but it was more of a one side only kind of thing...

Driver's side too - that's quite an intrusion.

They should make cars out of wood. It seems to win every time. No serious injuries and lesson learnt about water lying on the road long after the rain stops..

Very funny Stifull, that's an impressive lack of talent. I guess it's true what they say, the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree.

Anyway, from consulting a few people and doing some more reading I believe that in August 2007 they introduced the AVLS system. The previous models only had the TGV system and as such the later motor won't just drop straight in. Bummer.

Did you know Stifull's dad? You must be older than Moses.
