Replacing bulbs for rear number plate

Postby [Liberty2.5] » Thu Aug 14, 2008 12:58 pm

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has replaced the bulbs that light your number plates up. I have no clue where to start......

I'am trying to replace the standard yellow coloured bulbs with white leds, i had white led bulbs in my impreza and they look nice :)

Anyways let me know

Cheers

Not sure if that's even possible. I'll have to give it a go one day as well. But I think tangcla is the man to ask for this.

i done this the other day with some LEDs i purchased from tangcla

Dont try and remove the covers from outside the car as you will cause damage.

Remove the boot lining on the boot lid. You can do this by popping out the clips around it by using a flat head screwdriver.

There are also 2 black rubber mounts on each side of the boot you need to remove... They are in there a bit tighter then the clips but you can also remove these by popping them out slowly with a flat head screw driver.. You may need to slowly remove it by going from side to side..

If you need a more detailed explaination i can do it for you when i get home from work.. just let me know

Thanks gtspec!

Done (alot easier than i thought it would be)

So for people that want to know how its done -

All that you need to do is remove the boot lining by using a flathead screw driver to remove all the clips:

and then replace the bulbs 8)
