DAMD Sills on wagons

Postby Chovies » Mon May 04, 2015 6:48 pm

Hey guys,

Just want to get confirmation on fitment of the DAMD side skirts fitting onto a MY08 Wagon spec B ? I'm looking at japanparts now and most of the DAMD products have "Will not fit 3.0l" in there description.

And if not is there a good alternative, besides bunnings body kits ;) to get a similar look ? I have a STI front lip and love how the damd sides match that look.

I do know you'll have problems with the rear parts as they're designed for the JDM rear bar which is shorter than or Aussie ones.

blacktop is right.
Speaking from experience, the diffuser and rear bar side pods are only suited to the JDM rear bar and crash bar.

Has anyone ever had a crack at making their own sills out of a solid sheet of plastic? If you could get some stuff that was relatively thick, like 1cm or a bit more, you could cut out the shape you wanted for the side skirts, and make the rear bumper sections long enough to fit a wagon or AUDM bar...

There's no way it would be more expensive than the DAMD kit.

Yeah, I've seen people sticking bits of garden edging to their cars. I'm thinking more along the lines of using HDPE or something similar over some reinforcement to make it hold the shape and sit the way that the genuine DAMD sills do.
