Need brighter reverse lights.

So I've had a look around on the net and the talk is obviously switching to a brighter, more modern LED globe or similar.
Had anyone had success in such a modification and what did you use? After having my car tinted (legal tint) it is quite hard to see out of when reversing at night. So double the strength lighting will be the goal.
Factors to consider are not exceeding the factory amp/volts to cause any melting or damage.
Need to retain stock wiring and housings. Wagon specific please.
cheers!

I'm using 15w HID reverse lights myself. They're great, and better than LED IMO if you really need to see in super-dark areas.

I need this. I'm on a quest to change EVERY SINGLE LIGHT in my car to LED, bar the headlights (I want XENON HIDs), High Beams, and Fog Lights. I'm most of the way there, but the reverse lights on my car are way too dark (also LEDs). Thanks for the info, guys.
