Hi everyone,
Just to put it out there as an alternative to vinyl wrapping.

There is a new product out in the market called CarDip. CarDip is developed and manufactured in the UK, and is available globally through various distributors (here in Australia it's CarDipAus Nunawading, VIC). CarDip is designed specifically with motor vehicles in mind and can also be used on various other materials such as wood, metal, glass, plastic, rubber, concrete, pretty much almost anything apart from your skin (obviously).

CarDip is basically a liquid spray on wrap, similar to what is already available on the market today, which almost forms a latex layer over the item to which it is sprayed on to. CarDip has remarkable longevity and if you decide to change the colour or revert back to your original paint work, CarDip simply PEELS OFF leaving the surface the same as it was when applied, leaving no residue or streak marks. CarDip has been tested to withstand up to 150deg Celcius, is also UV protected and lasts between 3-6 years depending on weather conditions and how maintain it.

CarDip is available in both Aerosol cans and 5ltr tins, for both DIY and professional applications. Currently Green, Blue, Black, Gun Metal, Yellow, Red, White, Gold, Pink, and Orange are available in Aerosol cans ($25 each), while Black, Gun Metal, White, Blue, and Orange are available in 5ltr tins ($225 each). All colours come in a Matte Finish. Soon CarDip will have a custom paint mixing system which will allow over 7000 colours to be made based on the RAL Colour Codes. A Gloss Clear and Matte Clear is also available but at the present time can only be applied via Professional Applicators. The Clears serve as additional protection against the elements as well as accidental petrol spillages. The enhanced durability of the Clears is due to the formula being water-based whilst the colours are solvent-based. The Gloss Clear (as the name indicates) will transform the matte finish of the dip to gloss if that is what you are after. While the Matte Clear enhances the matte finish of the dip. And a neat thing about the Clears is you can POLISH it.
