Except... It won't fit BP/BL
Unless specifically stated its compatible with:
BM BR GR SH YA SI Drive...

Perrin and WCLatheworks also make them for STi.
STi is smaller afaik...
The WC items are the most customisable as regards materials and non painted finishes eg burnt Ti etc...

I took micrometer to my BP/BL PROVA dial incase anyone has access to a lathe and billet :)
The PROVA cap is an intriguing upgrade. I don't notice it like I used to notice the stock dial...

That one looks a little "budget" :bad: The Prova one is pretty pimp not that I ever touch it, I always hit the steering wheel one instead

I guess that's what they mean by "steezy". Seriously? Sounds more like marketing and less like quality to me. Can't see them being around too long with that STi logo on top anyway.

We could possibly get someone in J to put in a bulk order for the PROVA caps via a retailer like Hirano Tyre or even direct.
I cant remember what the minimum order was but it was more than 10 or 20 even

Bosco looked into a group buy not long ago, it was a minimum of 100 at $77 each.

I realy like the idea of getting a nice billet aluminium knob/cap. But both Prova and Perrin don't appeal to me, because they have their name on them. The Perrin one apparently won't fit our cars anyway, but I wish they just said GT or SI Drive, or even nothing.

I'd pay $$ s for a custom CNCd one :) (Stainless Steel would be cool too). I'm not picky about the design, but anodised black or grey would look great in my car. But getting that made probably won't happen...

I've taken my SI-Drive knob apart before to clean the contacts. And in the age of 3D scanners, you could take the knob in somewhere to get made into a CAD file. Then getting it (or a cap would be easier) CNCd would be possible, but don't know how expensive.
We even have a local 3D printing company, so a plastic model could cheaply be made 1st.

It would be good to get a prototype of it Ben. Could that be a possible?

Sweet!! :D I didn't think that was actually going to get off the ground. Count me in, I'll gladly buy one if you decide to make them (the profits could cover initial expenses).

Yep, black, no logo, and a bit more weight sounds perfect The LED hole is for the illuminated line? I don't remember mine working at night, but 'll check...

P.S. I don't need to have a prototype myself, but a picture would be nice.

So you're making a Cap, correct? Because I'll make sure I use a round piece of tape, not just 2 squares. Because people who bought the Prova complained that it rocked side-to-side on the tape that came applied to it.

Its happening, we have an exact copy as a 3D cad file and are in the process of changing it completely :)
It's going to be as original as the others out there.
The internal dimensions and the location of the led hole remain, it will have a smoother more rounded profile with notches instead of knurling.
Custom laser etching may be available FTW.
