Need help with front bar + grill selection

Postby trolley » Fri Jan 24, 2014 11:22 am

I'd like to swap out my front + bar and grille and got lucky finding this below pic in the 'get low' thread, it's exactly what i'm after...

Image

Problem is I have no idea what bar/grill/lip this is - after scouring this forum and japanparts it looks like a Corazon? Not sure on the grill or lip though. Japanparts says "For model D 2.0GT, 2.0R, 2.0i only.", so this won't fit my 2.5T?

thanks guys :D

EDIT: Maybe this is the one? http://www.avojdm.com/product_info.php?products_id=137

That's just a post facelift 2.5i bar + lip.

Not too sure on grille compatability but check Japanparts as you'll need to run a new grille with that bar set up I'm pretty sure.

Can confirm that it's just an oem post facelift 2.5 bar with matching lip and STi rubber under lip.

The grill is a weird one. It looks like the standard oem grill with the chrome taken off the middle and with honeycomb mesh placed over it as you can see the "wings" on either side of the badge behind the mesh. And it's also been painted or plastidipped or something.

P.s. you have sn 07 spec B front bar.. why would you want to change that? One of the best factory front bars around!

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beer holder :)

I might consider adding a lip + grill instead. Working my way through so many lib pictures, there's just so many possibilities!

Looking at the grill, I reckon it may be a plasti dipped outback grill, could be wrong though?

This, exactly. Grill looks like its a mix of the honeycomb and standard.

Not really sure I like it, would be better off with one or the other.
