Auto dimming rear view mirror

G'day,

Does anyone have a auto dimming rear view mirror on their Liberty?

If so, did you resuse the button that is stuck on the windscreen which held the previous mirror?

On my MY07 the button is right at the top of the windscreen (within the black shade pattern area) The auto dimming mirrors that Subaru sell (for the Tribeca) have a straight stalk so it doesn't look like a straight swap is possible.

Cheers

Just out of curiosity, how does the auto-dimming feature work?

No you are not wrong...but that mirror uses a wedge mount button (which is incompatible with ours) and also seems to have a straight stalk/stem unlike our S-shaped stalk/stems.
