Hi Guys, I own an 08 3.0R Spec B and would like to know does the privacy glass provide any UV and heat protection. I have seen in some posts that it does and other posts and web sites that it doesn't. WTF????? I just had my wife's windows tinted, 01 Pulsar, and the guy said that it doesn't, not sure if he's trying to drum up some more business.
Cheers
Matt

It's just glass with black dye in it. Purely cosmetic.

UV is light, just not in the visible range so if it stops some visible light it'll stop most UV light.

Are those UV number transmission or % blocked?
For UV, it is blocked.
The light, it is transmitted.
A bit confusing, but that's the way Subaru gave me the numbers.

Is someone able to confirm if the figures provided mean anything in terms of heat reduction? Ie, will I still need a reflective tint on my rear windows to get the heat reduction affect?
Cheers
