Flashing hazards when locking

Postby Pyr0m4n14c44 » Sun Sep 01, 2013 12:34 pm

Good afternoon forum,
I was just curious for anyone with a Gen 3, mod their central locking to the hazards to make them flash when locking and unlocking the car? If so, how did you do it? Because it seems redundant to walk away from car, unsure if its locked or not, then to go back and check lol. I would love to see the hazards flash when the car locks.

Cheers,
Andrew

Oh man I would love for this to happen! I dont trust the remote so I'm always locking the car and checking to make sure it's locked before walking away.

I think I read around here somewhere that in order to achieve this, you'd essentially need an after market central locking setup, as there aren't any hacks available for the factory system. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I looked under my left side behind my glove box, and I couldn't really see it, where abouts is it situated? Do I have to remove any panel work?

Cheers :)

No you dont have to remove panels but you can will make it easier. It should be on the left hand side its mounted vertical on the left with one screw holding the bracket.

Is it the rectangular cased box which is hanging down from the cavity?

Opened it all up, turns out to be the sep99 board, can this one be altered for the same purpose?

I'm just gonna go ahead and assume I have the sep99 board also. Would love to know if the mod will work for the earlier revision.
