Are there led room lamps that won't damage BIM/BIU

As above: Are there led room lamps available that won't damage my body integrated module/body integrated unit?

I've heard the dimming function is not LED compatible and will eventually burn out leaving only on/off.

Can anyone confirm or deny this and suggest either a brighter incandescent or a compatible led alternative?

My led dome fades, my puddle lights fade.
Led lights have been on my car a long time (2 years+) without issue. The puddle lights have been there just over a year now... http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=14523&hilit=brainy&start=60#p242298

As it stands, they still work and touch wood, no issues with the BIU.

The BIU can get fried if you have a short somewhere, thus disabling your dome fade ability. But LED's are not the cause of that.
