Does anyone know how to change the interior red lights to blue? Kinda like this one below.

Hard to do?

I would imagine you would have to strip down the whole unit to replace lamps/lenses. Personally I prefer red as it doesn't affect your night vision.

Trieu
Where did you get the pic from? or did you do that smartypants photoshop stuff
If you did change it, would that mean you would then change the cupholder surrounds from blue to red?
According to my wifes Mazda Cx7 blurb the blue light gives "a calming ambience to the driving surrounds"
There is a tiny blue light that is infront of the rear view mirror that comes on when the headlights are on that really does not light anything up, but all the dash lights are bright red
wierd set up
Think it would affect the night vision too

According to http://stlplaces.com/night_vision_red_myth/
The "red to preserve night vision" is a myth...

Ever notice how the night-rider buses are permanently lit up with a low intensity blue internally?

Trieus still in Melbourne and probably having a "client dinner" hence he's not replying

Half way down this page (Translated for your perousal and reading haha)

http://translate.google.com/translate?h ... n%26sa%3DG

there is a pic that Trieu posted, and when I went in to babblefish to translate it, it said it was a LED conversion or similar.

I have never pulled the front off a dash but I can't see it being that hard.

Basically I would assume is just changing the lights to blue LED's or similar? or any colour led's?

Ahhh thanks Skooby :) yeah no photoshop this time Pete, the real deal :)

Lunching at Nobu to be correct, friggin' NICE place if you ever get the chance too :) especially when vendors pick up the tab.

Jim, you come up with the best stuff :) and I thought I spent alot of time on the net!! Love the pic. I will remind myself never to argue online again

Yeah I kinda thought it would be a LED conversion cause don't they all run off a similar light at the very beginning of some tube? I ain't a sparkie so I dunno how it all works.... but having blue would be kinda different.
