Replacement bumpers after a crash

Postby TomFowler » Thu Jun 20, 2013 1:46 pm

So after leaving sti subaru docklands this morning after looking into some bling parts, i decided that the front of my car was too shiny and ran into the back of a car that just decided to slam his breaks on for no reason.
The result, from what i can gather is that the front bumper is going to need replacing along with a head light (drivers side), possibly the bonnet and the drivers side 1/4 panel (both don't seem to line up properly with other parts of the car).

My questions is,
Will the spec B front bumper fit on my car... I was originally going to change it once i had the money, but seeing as i know have to pay the excess it seems like a good time to do it, (I've read through the T & C's of my insurer and its seems like i'll just have to pay the difference between the two bumpers)
So before i go around trying to organise it all could anyone help me and confirm that it does fit? OR if anyone is willing to let me test fit one that they might have that would me SOOOO amazing and would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

I managed to get the part number for the bumper at subaru today if that helps at all???
Part number: 57704AG220

Any help would be greatly appreciated and valued.

Thanks,
Tom.

Maybe shop for your replacement bumpers etc on Import Monster?
Factor in everything needing filling and a respray though...

Shape wise it'll fit. but you'll have to look into what's required to make it all work. Guard liners, brackets, crash bars etc.

Your grille will still fit, but that's all I know :P

I know this is a pretty old thread but I figure it's better to add on to an existing one than start a new one.

I'm in pretty much the exact same situation as OP (although I only have bumper damage) and was wondering if anyone had any new information about putting the spec.B bumper on the 2.5i?

I'm fairly new to all of this so I wouldn't have a clue where to start researching for myself.

Cheers
