To vinyl or not to vinyl

Postby wassell2381 » Sat Mar 02, 2013 5:39 pm

Hey guys

Toying up about either getting a rear diffuser or blacking out the bottom of my bumper. Had a look on Ultrex at their diffuser which looks ok. Alternatively i could just wrap the existing bumper in vinyl. Wanted to keep the stock look that the pre face lift libs have.

Just did a quick tape up to give a demo of what the vinyl will look like. Let me know what you think?

If you like it, go for it! It's not permanent!

Looks alright to me, but the vinyl may tear over time with stones being kicked up.
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...

Ultrex rear diffuser (CF) photoshopped in gloss black....my future plan when I get round to getting it painted.

You can tape or silicone / sikaflex it, I'll probably do one of the latter.

I installed mine and there's a big void under the diffuser, so I'd steer clear of double sided tape. I used three screws at the bottom of the diffuser to hold it on (not noticeable at all) and used a hole tube of liquid nails to ensure the top of the diffuser stays hard against the bumper.

Yep for fibreglass :p I doubt there's too much flex at the back of the car there anyway!
