Would this work??

Hi Guy's,
I have just come up with an idea and would just like some advice on whether it would actually work and if so, how hard it would be, you'll probably think im retarded but anyway
I've wanting to replace my headlights on my liberty, for some reason they both have these tiny little scratches/cracks throughout the lense and although their only really noticeable in the direct sunlight, they still annoy the shit out of me.
I assume i cant just replace the lense so i figure i'll need to replace the whole assembly, obviously they are friggin expensive, even from wreckers so here is my idea. I was going through the headlights on ebay and came across a set for sale in the U.S, for a legacy. I can get these to my door for about $325 for the set which got me thinking, could i just buy these and remove the lenses and fit them to mine?? Is it difficult?? I assume the orange indicators are behind the lense so the lense itself is clear like ours?? I could always just use the rest of the lamp for spare parts, thoughts?
Sorry for the long post, heres a link to the headlights in question, thanks guys

I reckon they would fit up fine, and I guess you could transfer the inners, sounds like a massive pain in the arse.

Definitely try a decent restore kit.

I would try this first. You have nothing to lose.

I honestly don't think the restoration kits would work as they're actual tiny cracks throughout not just the usual hazy/build-up which you get over time, could try it i suppose,
