Ah ok, i assumed they would be globes and not LEDs.

Thanks, might order this stuff now.

Have you done your brake lights too?

nope the mirror indicators ARE led's.

and brake lights yup. I used just a plain white 18 LED light.

You may need to use a relay for brake lights...try the globes for a few months without, and if your car throws error codes on the dash (ABS/traction/cruise) then grab some relays.

Happened to my car.

also grab another extra LED light for the high mount brake light, just a normal T20 bulb size in there.

Awesome, thanks.

I know I could check this out myself (but I'm stuck inside at work) - but are the brake/parker globes dual filament?
If so, did you need to buy "dual" LED globes?

I have a MY08 wagon which already uses LEDs in the third brake light I think.
Ill check it out though.

im pretty sure post face-lift is dual filament and pre isnt, but for some reason my car only likes dual filament even in single filament fittings (car is pre facelift).

no idea why, but i use ones similar to these: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2x-7440-7443 ... ccb&_uhb=1

Hey ciand06

I was wondering if you could post a photo of your brake/tail light cluster of your LED's on! I am wanting to see how they look and how bright they are! I have the same sort of arrangement but some people say its not bright enough!

Better yet, you should come join us this weekend!! viewtopic.php?f=35&t=19047 be great to meet and see your car in person!!
Below car has been gone for quite some time now... blew bottom end bearing and dealership screwed me! Now driving 2008 WRX with ~65k kms on the clock. Only has cat back exhaust and tune by KiDo at the moment! More to come... but slowly!

Purchased recently (12/11/2013), already with: Stage 2 Pedders lowered springs, rear Whiteline sway bar, Advan Racing TCII 18x8 wheels, k&N pod filter, custom 3" exhaust system from turbo back with Magnaflow mufflers. ECUTEK tune of some sort (hopefully soon to be fixed)..... now FIXED!! Now KiDo Tuned!
Added: HID kit, EZ lip equivalents to the front and sides, and various LED treatments, oem boot spoiler, [LGT WRC] plates, GFB Respons BOV for extra Pssscchhh! --> Gone... I couldn't afford it's heart transplant... but keep a look out, as it will come back on sale soon!

I installed my LED indicators on the weekend and I'm very happy with the result.

Thought the bulbs were the wrong type at first, as they have 4 wires on them instead of 2 like the standard bulbs.
They work fine though.

I also bought my relay from eBay, rather than the place ciand06 suggested (they didn't have any stock) and it actually works fine. Indicators flash when I unlock/lock and no problems with "hyperflashing".

Only thing I have noticed is the passenger rear brake light doesn't work (parker works fine). No idea if it is linked to the LED indicators or if it is just a blown globe, but I will check it out soon.

Mind if I grab a link to the relay you bought? The site Kieran used appears to be dead (probably shouldn't have put it off for 6 months...)

They changed their website from v-leds.com to vleds.com

http://www.vleds.com/electronic-flasher ... l-fix.html

I think that is the one but I cannot confirm at the moment, would have to double check when I get home.

I cant find the one i bought, as i bought it more than 90 days ago it seems, and eBay doesn't let me go back further than that.

I just remember it was for a Toyota/Lexus and it had the same numbers written on it as the vleds one.

The numbers can be deceiving as i have said before. I tried to buy off ebay when vleds checkout wasnt working so i found an ebay one that looked identical. but when i fitted it the lock/unlock flash did not work.

so unless the ebay listing says it has the lock fix do not buy it because its a pita to install.

I found everything to be easy, except for getting the actual relay off the black relay holder thing.
In the end i just snapped it off.

Yeah I am pretty much talking specifically about removing the relay. Took me 20 minutes each time just to remove a damn clip in relay!
