Hey everyone, I'm looking to get a new grille for my 07 GT as the standard one just doesn't look right on such a nice front end. I have noticed a few nice ones around, namely the mesh and recessed corozon. Does anyone know of any others that might look nice and are the correct fit?

For the fit and finish, you cant go past the Corazon. Otherwise a JDM honeycomb grill is another nice option.

Im looking to do the same thing. I love the grill on this GT on carsales, does anyone know what it is? I cant seem to find it on Japan Parts, ebay, anywhere?

That looks like the oem sports mesh grille with an Ebay STi badge added.

not sure if you can get the same one for the 07-9 facelift though.
mine cost $450 incl. postage, bit rough but the subaru items come pre painted in your factory colour choice and always fit like a glove.

Not yet. Ive looked all over t'internet and nothing.

Im gonna give Subaru parts a call over the next week, or drop in and find out if they still have any anywhere.

Subaru have not had pre facelift sports mesh grilles for a long time.

I tried them when I got my car two years ago.

Bugger. So second hand off here/ebay is the only way to get them now i presume?

Decided to have a go at customizing my own to save a few dollars. Im using your guide Mark and so far so good.

Im about 1/2 the way through but im wondering if i need to fill in the small cut-outs left by the horizontal and vertical sections?

Im thinking it may look ok if i just fold the mesh over the sides but im not sure. Im a bit hesitant to do the glass and fill as i dont want to ruin the grille.

What do you reckon Mark?

Im a bit pedantic when it comes to fit and finish, so would only ever recommend to back and fill the gaps.

Is there any Fibreglassing how to's on Youtube?

All good. Fiberglass came up a treat, was much easier than expected

A few little imperfections in the finished product, but overall I'm happy with the result.

Grille is now fitted and looking WAY better than before.
