MY07 3.0RB Spec.B

The standard rear bumper looks stupid i hate the black little plastic things, are there any flat plastic inserts that can replace them or do i need a whole new bumper?

mate, sorry to say but IMO I think they look great ,breaks up the colour a bit

You should read through LegacyGT.Com. Most of the guys on there strive for these plastic vents. They hate the red reflectors they get for the USDM version.

But if you're inclined to rid yourself of them, you can take it to a smash repair place where they can cover up the rakes with plaster and paint them. Otherwise you can browse through JapanParts.Com or an issue of Hyper Rev as there are various companies that make aftermarket rear bumpers sans the vents.

what about colour coding them? it would tone them down, and look ok I reckon.

I will give them away once i have achieved what i am after, Smooth bumper, looks as though it will be going to the panel beater

dodge photohop. personally i like the inserts as the facelifts tail lights were smaller and needs something to break it up...

Since your car will be off the road and at the panel beaters, you might want to consider painting the chrome strips under the taillights as well for a clean look.

Have you considered just painting them body colour first? And if you don't like it, then consider the costly flushed bumper look

Yes i have considered this I’m glad you brought this up, my dad is pretty handy with a spray gun but then it ruins them so sorry to anyone that had their eye on them. I’m not sure where to buy touch up paint and how much it is, I will give Subaru a call

They are seriously $14 from Japan.....for both of them.

what are they ment to do anyway break up air flow around the bumper to prevent drag or are they vents ,i still think they look good what ever they do !!!!

It's just for looks, because in Japan the car came with rear fog lights in those positions, which was later introduced in to the MY09 in Aus.

No cant say ive seen one close up still thought it was there to do somthing ,not just for looks !!!!

The rear fog light was never introduced into the AUS market……...
