You guys know DRL's have to be wired so tail lights don't come on and when the headlights are switched on they turn off? They are 100% illegal after the sun has gone past the horizon (how the law determines day from night) and there are specific ADRs applying to their location, wattage etc.

I believe all Hellas DRL's are all ADR approved which is a good start - you then have to mount them in a specific location and wire them correctly. I really like the concept an usage of DRLs when used properly - I use foggies instead at the moment (yes I know its illegal).

See Hellas DRL product at http://www.hella.com/produktion/HellaAU/WebSite/Channels/Drivers/LEDayLine_DRL/LEDayLine_DRL.jsp

(looks like a pretty good product actually)

Been thread digging..

I was going to do the same as this with the LED strip but decided I don't like it seeing the photo - it makes the car look too narrow in my opinion.

So I did this instead:

LED parkers, biggest I could get to fit
HID lights (not sure what rating - they were in the car already)
LED fog lights to use as day lights (seeing as its illegal to have them on anyway and we very rarely get fog around here)

I think it looks pretty good 8)

The fog lights are these:

The parkers are these (which I also used in the number plate lights):

Not sure what temp the HID's are, they were in the car when I bought it

Foggies are too blue imo.
Still looks all very nice though, but just the colour matching is a little off.

Get some HID fogs, at least they work properly and actually function! LED fogs are for suckers. :)

LED fogs are fine. Mine have been going strong for ages and not once failed? I didn't break anything installing them either.

That's what I get for using the prefacelift fog light HID guide, and their draconian style outdated fog lights which are completely different.
But hey I learnt my lesson and made a guide for Postfacelift at the same time!

Yeah the coloring looks a little off because that was taken on my iPhone.. In person the colouring is a lot closer

And I didn't go HID foggies because I'm going to use the angle that they're just like parking lights when talking to mr plod :P
