No... if you look at the pics of the wheels(on damd / prova / k2 gear websites), you'll see that you fit all the std stuff backon to it. So, the air bag, si drive controls, cruise and audio control fit back on.

Will post pics in a day or so.

Yes Pics!...

Also, what did you do with your original wheel?

The leather on the top of mine is fairly worn(was like that when I bought it)... interested in selling? or trade+cash if you want to keep something to revert back to if neccessary?

I've been looking at this wheel for ages but am struggling with the price of it. Having said that, the only reason I'm looking at it is that coz my legs are soooooo long, they hit the wheel when I get in and out. I figured that with the flat bottom rim, and that it's a fraction smaller in dia, I might have more room to get in and out! LOL :D

You reckon that my logic works now having had the wheel for a while?

Cheers

Have you thought about getting Recaro or Bride seats which sit lower? :D

I would absolutely LOVE Bride seats... we can't change the seats due to the SIAB though?

Jimbo - when the back went snap, I had to have the seats extensively modified. There is plenty of issues with airbags and insurance. Unfortunately, even Recaro's won't be insured (and I with Shannons). Basically, I had to 'build' my seat to suit including lowering it by 1 inch without an engineers cert (all done using various foams etc.)

Overload, you're spot on mate - compliance farks up the insurance. And, to make matters worse, if you mod your seats with an airbag, only a fully certified trimmer can play with them and restitch the seats together. This is understandable given how the airbags deploy. (There is only a handful of trimmers that have compliance for this.)

Soooooo, to the OP - you reckon the wheel would help me?? Or should I just have an operation?? LOL. :D

It's the same situation as replacing an airbag wheel with a non airbag wheel isn't it? Realistically though given the choice I'd rather have the SIAB than the Brides. It's a VERY hard choice though trust me :(
