OK i just caught the bug, practiced on the WRX first and turned out well now to choose what to do in the Blitzen without going overboard this stuff gets addictive to install as i find myself looking around the house for likely candidates, TV remote? surround speakers? microwave panel? God! why can't i leave things the way they were!!!!!!!

You've got the mod bug now, no turning back! So keep going hard and don't ever back off! Well, if you start looking at how you can CF toilet rolls you may need to seek medical help, lol!

I was wanting to do exactly what Devour has done on the grille but was worried it might look a little ricey.
But it's turned out fantastic. Well done.

Yeah, its not easy. First time though and by far the stock grill was the hardest part i wrapped. Im sure if i did it again it would turn out better, but theres no need since ive put a different grille on the car.

3M has two types of CF vinyl - Di-Noc & 1080

3M Di-Noc is an architectural vinyl, essentially for indoor use. Wrapping something like a laptop would be ideal with it. It is also thick and not too pliable. It has a dull finish. Car interior wraps are fine with it as along as the surfaces are not too curved.

3M 1080 is a "Personalised Vehicle Vinyl". It is intended for wrapping car exterior panels. It is very pliable, sticky and glossy. It has only been in Australia since April '11. It is almost identical in appearance to Hexis CF vinyl.

They are both textured and high quality. Just intended for different uses.

Yep, it will last quite a few years (even under the harsh Aussie sun).




Also .... not CF but matte black. Mean with a capital "M".
