I think matt black would look good as long as area above the exhausts below the line is black too

I'll be getting it moulded to the rear bumper, so the whole lower section (the part that looks like a cutout but isn't  ) will be more like a one-piece.

Still undecided about silver versus grey...

Ever going to get another front bumper lower lip? Gonna paint that? If so, paint the rear diffuser as well. Otherwise if you're going matt black on the front lip, match up the diffuser as well with the same. Not too bad having the front and rear match.

If the diffuser wraps around the tips (as it appears you are describing in your most recent post), I'd suggest charcoal. particularly if you end up getting another charcoal front lip

Front lip should be on its way... that'll be STi type black plastic.

Dropped the car off at the panelbeater's. He said he wouldn't advise getting it moulded in, too much fibreglassing and it could crack very easily because there's no movement. So I'm getting it painted silver (thanks for your votes guys) and it'll have to be a stick-on :(

Rather than blending, would you be able to make up some fibreglass covers to go over the top of the exhausts?
or even just paint that section of the bumper black?

Edit: may as well wait and see what it looks like in silver now anyway! :D

I've had the exhaust finishers before, if all else fails I'll get them again and make it look more like it was meant to be there
