Rear Diffuser for MY06 wagon

Postby mikee » Thu Jan 07, 2010 12:23 pm

Hi guys,

I would really like to get a Rear Diffuser for my wagon.

Problem is.. I have a towbar block there in place currently from the previous owner. I'm not planning any towing in the future.

If i wanted to get a diffuser, should I get the tow parts at back removed? or do you think customing a diffuser to have a bit cut away to allow for the bar would be a bit pointless and silly?

Hope I am making sense here..

I'd love to get one similar to here at the Ultrex site http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj11 ... G_4353.jpg

I like it as the diffuser runs the whole line of the rear facia and doesnt look like it was just stuck on.

Does anyone here have a rear diffuser on their wagon and does not mind posting up their photo for me to have a look?

Thanks!
mikee

I think you can just unbolt the towball...

I would love to install a diffuser but my wagon has the tow bar block.

What are our options ?????

Hi guys,

If neither of you want the towbar, have you considered selling? I'm possibly looking at an install.

Phat GT was selling a rear diffuser (Pretty sure Tangcla has one on his car)... If you don't use the tow bar, just remove it & the rear diffuser would actually cover the hole up :)

IMO, that rear diffuser looks really tacked on. Is it held with screws along the top edge?

The particular one I got was a test sample which didn't fit 100%. There's not enough contact area under the diffuser to hold it in place with double-sided tape, hence the screws to secure it.

The old one was a bit more forceful in style:
