lip spoilers

Just wondering if any one has tried one of these for a lip spoiler, instead of the ~$250-$300 alternatives? Tempted to try it just cause its soooo cheap...

For that price you would just buy it to try.

Someone has to be first.........

I bought one exactly the same (to cut up as a rear window spoiler). Don't bother. They're wavy as anything. I think there's better quality ones around, check out BMW forums for recommendations on slightly better quality listings, then just find the right length :)

Thanks Daniel..

found this on the bimmer forums..

http://www.ebay.com/sch/amebawings_com/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

they look much better than the other cheapies, and come already primed/coloured depending on which listing you choose.. I'll be messaging him to find the right length one, does about 5mm in from the edge of the boot sound about right?

Just reminds me of the EZLip that I bought from eBay... which is still holding onto my car!! But I think if I add on too many 'cheap' accessories to my car it will make it too tacky...
Below car has been gone for quite some time now... blew bottom end bearing and dealership screwed me! Now driving 2008 WRX with ~65k kms on the clock. Only has cat back exhaust and tune by KiDo at the moment! More to come... but slowly!

Purchased recently (12/11/2013), already with: Stage 2 Pedders lowered springs, rear Whiteline sway bar, Advan Racing TCII 18x8 wheels, k&N pod filter, custom 3" exhaust system from turbo back with Magnaflow mufflers. ECUTEK tune of some sort (hopefully soon to be fixed)..... now FIXED!! Now KiDo Tuned!
Added: HID kit, EZ lip equivalents to the front and sides, and various LED treatments, oem boot spoiler, [LGT WRC] plates, GFB Respons BOV for extra Pssscchhh! --> Gone... I couldn't afford it's heart transplant... but keep a look out, as it will come back on sale soon!

I have one at the moment. Not great quality - but what do you expect for the price. I had the same outlook when I bought it (what do I have to lose for that price?) They crudely cut it on the ends, I fixed that with some very fine sandpaper, then some armour all.

I have not yet decided if I want to get rid of it or not.
2001 Liberty Heritage. RFRB grill sprayed Matt black, front lip, legacy rear garnish, LED rear number plate lights, lowered on ISC N1 coilovers, Rota Grid 18x8.5 in Matt black, rolled front and rear guards, HID's, tints and clear side indicators.

yeah just found that then.. actually doesn't look too bad, spose theres not much chance of painting it, would the paint just crack off? or is it a solid rubber?

It is quite flexible, I'm not sure how well you'd go painting it. I dont think it'd work very well.

Hi all,

If any of you are looking for a rear lip spoiler, liberty 05-09 models try this.
Found it on the rexnet forum
http://www.rexnet.com.au/forum/index.ph ... 2005-2009/

Genuine Subaru part from Zupps in QLD, getting rid of excess stock. Fitting instructions, screws nuts etc.
It has the led brake lighting it as well.
Beats the $1100 get inc price that they cost as an accessory.

Rang up, bought one, had it painted. Hope to get it fitted next week.

Happy shopping.

Yeah, boot lids are interchangeable so the spoilers would be too.
