SPEC B MY07 STi style lip on MY06 2.5i?

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone's tried fitting this:

to a pre facelift non Spec B, non GT? I'm thinkin bout getting one and custom mounting it, but not sure if it would get even close, and I'd rather not plonk down $300 for something that may not work.

Or if anyone has knowledge of the key differences between the two front bars and could shed some light on possible fitment?
