gen 4 gt boot spoiler

well i thoguth this may be helpfull to anyone thinkin of doing this.

i got sick and tired of chasing up a hail damaged boot i bought back in november (its down in sydney and im chasing the guy for details to have it picked up by courier) so i removed my rear spoiler myself.

i knew there were going to be holes and once i get all the sikaflex gunk off il just put rubber plugs in them until im ready to have them welded up and sprayed with the rest of my body kit.

i thought they would be bigger.

passenger side:

rear view ( i think i need to go lower! now!)

theres only 4 bolts that need to be unscrewed then with a lot of persuading the spoiler should pull off. i used a pocket knife to slice the sicaflex to start it off.

Always loved the way the Gen 4 sedans look without wings, The wing looks a touch out of place when i see them.

The GenIV's have that slight 'notch' in the back that makes it look quite elegant. I reckon just leave it spoiler-less for a while and see how you like it.

No spoiler does look good I've got to admit :D Maybe there a reason they call it a "rear spoiler" heheheheheh ;)

If I'm not mistaken, the Subaru badge is actually slightly sunk in... So removing it would be a no go. But taking off all the other badges does look the goods :D

eucalyptus to remove the left over gunk. Heat gun won't help you with that
