Brake light and parking Light not working

Postby dburse01 » Thu May 30, 2013 11:09 am

Hi All
Just bought my Liberty wagon Spec B 3.0R and love it.
But I have noticed that the brake light and parking light on the drivers side has stopped working.
Is the bulb the likely cause?
Just trying to get my head around the electronics
Thanks

try the bulbs first (use other side ones to test). The day after I bought mine the brake globe blew.

If it is the bulbs, buy some LED ones :)

I would probably say one of your fuses have blown. Check in the compartment on the driver's side near your right knee, or in your fuse box in your engine bay. Both locations are written in your car users manual.
Below car has been gone for quite some time now... blew bottom end bearing and dealership screwed me! Now driving 2008 WRX with ~65k kms on the clock. Only has cat back exhaust and tune by KiDo at the moment! More to come... but slowly!

Purchased recently (12/11/2013), already with: Stage 2 Pedders lowered springs, rear Whiteline sway bar, Advan Racing TCII 18x8 wheels, k&N pod filter, custom 3" exhaust system from turbo back with Magnaflow mufflers. ECUTEK tune of some sort (hopefully soon to be fixed)..... now FIXED!! Now KiDo Tuned!
Added: HID kit, EZ lip equivalents to the front and sides, and various LED treatments, oem boot spoiler, [LGT WRC] plates, GFB Respons BOV for extra Pssscchhh! --> Gone... I couldn't afford it's heart transplant... but keep a look out, as it will come back on sale soon!

Wouldn't a fuse cause both driver and passenger sides to not work? Most likely just blown globe(s)

I thought that too when this happened to me, but there is a left relay and right relay fuse... Either way, it's a cheap fix.
